We live in the suburb of Kiev and do not get out often to the Kiev downtown, especially with the kids. Still, we enjoy walking the old streets of Kiev time to time. This time we visited a place, called scenery lane. It is green and have some amazing mosaics there.
The place is designed, using famous books, such as Little Prince or Alice in Wonderland.
I guess, you recognize this white rabbit from the Wonderland or the smiling cat.
Here is the little prince and two little princesses.
An elephant fountain and more cats. They are adorable!
Kids had great time in this park. It’s a quiet and nice corner of Kiev.
We have a new and cute arrival in our family of humans and pets. Recently we had dachshund puppies born. Those are cute baby goats. Here are their photos:
newborn goats photos. Here these baby goats are just about half an hour old.

The first feeding of the baby goats. Their mother refused to feed them, so now I have two more little ones to mother.
I love gardening and I love to craft and upcycle for my garden. I have already shared the teapot decoupage upcycling on my blog. Here are some decoupage ideas and green corners of my back yard.
These are the above mentioned decoupaged old tea pots. I turned them into flower pots. Seems like these flowers really love them.
This was an ordinary white flower pot. I decoupaged it and used an old CD beneath it.
This is my rock garden. No decoupage here yet, but it’s coming!
It’s my green fern garden.

I live in Ukriane. It’s an agreecultural country wiht the richest soils in the world. But, I have some heart breaking photos to share. I live in a town, some 25 miles from Kiev (the capital). But, if you move up to 40 miles away from Kiev, you start meeting desolation in villages:
This is a very heart breaking photo to me. The chairs look welcoming and expectant. But, the place is empty.
The farms start falling apart. You can these almost in all near by villages:
If I had enough money to start a small farm, I would have gladly moved away there.
There is one good news about the place. The nature is reviving. I have seen an amazing thing. I was not able to take a good of it, though. On a green field I saw 14 storks! I have never seen so many of them in one place. A while ago seeing a stork was a rare luck in Ukraine. But now they have come back and multiplied. And the air there was amazingly fresh, too.
The spring has arrived, finally! It felt almost like it would never come. But it’s here in all its beauty. We have taken some mementos of it to remember this sunny day before the Easter 2012.
This is a huge old oak tree. It grows in a small forest right across the lake from our village. This forest seems to be enchanted. It is just few minutes walk away from people’s houses, but it so wild and full of life!
Everything is so green and blooming underneath those old trees!
We have returned home with some sweet-smelling booty
And we have dug out few bushes of violets to plant them at home
I discovered one thing: most people simply love decoupaged glass bottles. So, I made more of them and gave them away. I believe it’s a great way to upcycle things and live green. Besides, you gain some health benefits by storing vegetable oil in eco safe bottles.
So, here are two more of my glass bottles decoupage:
This one is done in Easter style and matches the Easter wood gift set, I decoupaged.
I call this decopaged glass bottle romantic. Recenlty my baby has torn a novel to sheets. So, I used up some of them to decorate this glass bottle.
Here is my short glass bottle decoupage how to:
– I removed all the oil by using spirit base window spray.
– I painted the bottle in white
– I cut out a piece of book sheet and burnt it on all sides
– Then, as usual, I used polish to glue the napkin and then the book sheets to the bottle and I covered it all up with more polish

It’s April 1 today and it’s a humor day in Ukraine. Instead of warm and sunny weather we’ve got hail today.
Few days ago we got a new and joyful event in our household. Our dachshund mutt has brought puppies. Just wanted to share the photos of these newborn puppies with you.
The dog’s name is Cleo.
It’s a mini dachshund mutt and she’s got two newborn puppies.
